Falmouth McDonald’s temporarily closed after police incident – .

Police confirmed that a robbery in Falmouth on Friday evening resulted in the closure of McDonald’s in the area.
Blue and white tape was put in place to block the two entrances to the restaurant.

The parking lot entrance was also closed with cones with a staff member outside not allowing people to enter.

The restaurant remained closed last night and today and reopened around 2 p.m.

A McDonald’s employee confirmed that there had been an incident that happened last night but was unable to disclose much information.

They confirmed that the store is now reopened to the public.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed the incident was a robbery on Friday evening.

However, they were unable to confirm whether the theft was committed against an individual or the McDonald’s chain itself.

This is not the only police incident taking place in Cornwall this weekend, as this morning Tower Road in Newquay was closed in both directions following an accident.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed the crash involved a cyclist with reportedly minor injuries.

The road has since reopened.
