Despite the prolonged contract negotiation of vice-president and Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri, the real behind-the-scenes drama has reportedly been revealed.
The Toronto Star exclusively reported on Monday that Edward Rogers, former president of Rogers Communications Inc., had “actively fought the plan” to re-sign Ujiri, believing it was not worth the amount offered.Rogers Communications Inc. owns 37.5 percent of the Raptors organization.
