He adds: “This means that I am no longer able to continue my engagements in person at the moment, so I will be doing as many of my scheduled interviews / performances as possible from my home. Apologies to everyone I left down. Be careful everyone x “
Looks like the guy will be well enough to take on some planned responsibilities – of which we’re sure there are quite a few, considering Ed’s new album is due out next week.
Speaking of one of those engagements, ‘SNL’ just announced yesterday that Ed will be the musical guest alongside the host. Kieran Culkin for the Nov. 6 episode – but it’s unclear whether he’ll be able to do that or not … it’s in 13 days, and he could probably be fine by then.
Ed is also supposed to appear on “The Voice” this week as a musical mentor – but they seem to have recorded his segment long before this diagnosis. No word if he was planning on making an in-person visit as well – but if so, it’s almost certainly over by now.
It’s interesting though… ES seems to want to zoom in if the situation arises, so maybe his gigs won’t be deleted entirely. Time will tell, we suppose.
