In the next inning, Correa hit a monster solo home run to give Houston the lead late in the game. Correa dropped the bat and yelled at the canoe that it was his time. Altuve would come in the next round to add one more point on a fly bag.

Houston took a 1-0 lead in the series with the win.

Boston took the lead in the third inning. The set started with a home run from Kiké Hernández who tied the game at 1-1 following a Yordan Alvarez bag-fly in the first set. A mistake on Altuve’s field allowed Xander Bogaerts to give Boston a point, then Hunter Renfroe doubled up to score Rafael Devers.

Hernández would keep the game close with a home run against Astros closest Ryan Pressly to make it 5-4. But Pressly would regain control and close the door to Boston’s return chances.

Correa had the best performance of the evening. He was 3-for-4 with the home run that put Houston on its feet late in the game. Chas McCormick was also 3-for-4 and scored one point. These two were the only Houston players to have played multiple times.
