San Francisco In-N-Out Temporarily Shuts Down For Vaccination Mandate Violation – .

An In-N-Out restaurant at Contra Costa County has been closed for violating the county’s coronavirus vaccine mandate.
Health officials closed the restaurant on Tuesday after it failed to check the immunization status of people who wanted to eat inside.

Officials say the restaurant received several warnings before it was finally asked to close indefinitely for violating the mandate.

“The Pleasant Hill In-N-Out site received four citations in recent weeks and fines totaling $ 1,750, all for the same health violation, ahead of today’s action,” Contra Costa Environmental Health (CCEH) said in a statement.

Two other In-N-Out restaurants in the area have also received fines and warnings for failing to check a person’s immunization status before eating.

The closure and fines in Contra Costa County follow an In-N-Out in San Francisco that was closed several days for not having checked the immunization status of people.

The restaurant was allowed to reopen as they agreed to only have take out and alfresco dining.

Arnie Wensinger, In-N-Out’s legal and business director, supported the restaurant throughout the process, saying it shouldn’t be their job to monitor a person’s immunization status.

“We refuse to become the immunization police for any government. It is unreasonable, invasive and dangerous to force our restaurant associates to separate customers into those who can be served and those who cannot, whether based on the literature they carry or some other reason. Wensinger said in a statement.
