Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly turned into knights for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here is the latest teaser.

However, it looked like Ant, 46, had pulled the short straw as, while his best friend Dec, 45, rode a towering white horse, he trotted on the back of a considerably shorter pony.

Putting on shiny silver helmets and coordinating gloves, the presenters certainly swapped Australia’s New South Wales for British North Wales as they ventured on a quest for Gwrych Castle.

With must-see red capes, presenters have always looked at the role in medieval-inspired photos.

It comes after a promotional image for the ITV show saw the acclaimed duo transform into knights, clad in head-to-toe armor.

The image showed the couple standing in front of a map of their battlefield, with Ant carving out a towering figure in his armor, while Dec mustered his efforts to stay as serious as possible.

A little glimpse was given into the idyllic Welsh landscape as two ponies grazed in the background.

These are the same ponies that last month saw Best Pals ride for a trailer before the new series.

The double act beamed from ear to ear and clenched fists in glee as the producers introduced them to this year’s lineup in an Instagram video.

Unfortunately for avid fans of the longtime series, the footage has been blurred in an effort to keep it a secret.

“Here we go, number one,” a crew member announced before the couple began to clap with Ant shouting, “Yes! ”

“Very, very good,” Dec commented of another contestant before the couple raised their eyebrows and said, “Ooh. “

Dec’s face was certainly an image towards the end of the clip as he opened his mouth wide and looked up in shock at one of the new cast members.

It’s incredible. We’re happy, ”they concluded – leaving fans excited and impatient in time for the reality show’s return in November.

Preparations for the next round are underway at Gwrych Castle Camp in North Wales, which will host for the second year in a row due to travel restrictions surrounding its usual home on Australia’s east coast.

ITV bosses face a race against time to renovate the dilapidated building – which is now closed to the public – and surrounding areas ahead of the new series set to begin in November.

The reality show, which typically films in the Australian wilderness, has been forced to move to the dilapidated castle over fears Australia will close its borders due to the ongoing pandemic.

The producers have since filed an extensive town planning application with the authorities in order to make the country house habitable in time for the new series.
