Android 12L is Google’s latest effort for tablets – .

Google hasn’t given up on Android tablets. Even if, looking at the last few years, it probably should have. Just kidding (halfway), but bigger screen Android devices seemed like an afterthought for a while, as iPads or Windows hybrids cleaned up the high-end and cheap devices for families and families alike. workplaces offered a primarily smartphone experience. with more screen space.
Enter Android 12L. It is designed for larger screens, including foldable screens and even laptops. It boils down to a set of new features for the existing operating system that are optimized for large screens. While Android can handle a (sort) multi-window experience, some parts of the interface still end up looking like a bigger version of a phone operating system, rather than something that uses better. increased space. One of the things coming to Android 12L is a two column layout for the notification shade and the lock screen when the system detects that the screen is greater than 600 dps wide. Android even adds a taskbar which is very… Chromebook.

Alder Lake is finally here.

We’ve been hearing about Intel’s powerful hybrid processors for so long, but the company is finally ready to launch these previously named “Alder Lake” chips as 12th generation desktop processors. And maybe, just maybe, it can steal the show from AMD and Apple.

Intel claims 12th gen chips are up to 19% faster than 11th gen chips overall, and they are twice as fast in the Adobe After Effects Pulse benchmark. When it comes to multithreaded performance (tasks designed specifically for multiple cores, like video and 3D rendering), the company claims that the high-end i9-12900K is 50% faster than Intel’s comparable chip of the last year while using less energy. Best of all, it can achieve parity of performance using only about a quarter of the horsepower. Basically, anyone who has delayed upgrading over the past few years could be spoiled.

The new hybrid core design will make Intel’s new chips look like AMD’s big.LITTLE technology found on smartphone processors, combining power-efficient cores for light tasks with heavy cores (but more energy intensive).

Step one: update your device.

Fine control for the camera freak.

Another Sony phone for camera fans is the Xperia 1 III. It bypasses software processing tricks popularized by phones like the Pixel series, instead showcasing Sony’s camera intelligence in features like focus tracking and fine-grained controls. I put the phone to the test, and while the gorgeous 4K display can run at 120Hz, specs like this are almost prohibitively expensive ($ 1,300!), Making it harder to recommend against. the best smartphones from Samsung and Apple.
