Star Wars: Ahsoka brings Hayden Christensen back as Anakin Skywalker

Next year Obi Wan Kenobi The series on Disney + will feature the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader for the first time since Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. But his return to the franchise doesn’t end there. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Christensen will once again reprise his role in Star Wars : Ahsoka.

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy announced Ahsoka during last year’s Disney Investor Day presentation. She also confirmed that Rosario Dawson will return as Ahsoka Tano after her critically acclaimed appearance in The Mandalorian season 2. The new Ahsoka The series will take place five years after Vader’s death in Return of the Jedi, which makes Christensen’s cast somewhat surprising. Either way, it’s possible that the filmmakers include flashback scenes between Anakin and Ahsoka. Or maybe Anakin will appear as a Force ghost in Ahsoka’s present.

The new series will mark the first time Anakin and his Padawan share the screen in live-action. After Ahsoka’s introduction in Star Wars: The Clone Wars film, their relationship was explored even further in the series. They also reunited during the second season of Star Wars: Rebels, which ended with Ahsoka in a duel with his former master.

Disney + has not set a release date for Star Wars : Ahsoka. However, production is expected to start in early 2022.
