Bel-Air star Adrian Holmes was reportedly involved in a fatal car crash after allegedly hitting a man lying on the 110 freeway in Los Angeles on Monday night.

The actor, 47, who plays Philip Banks in the upcoming Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air reboot, is said to have hit an unidentified man lying in his lane while driving south on Highway 110 north of Sunset Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles around 7:35 p.m., according to TMZ.

Sources told the website that Holmes was unable to avoid hitting the individual. The driver behind Holmes was also unable to avoid the man and is also said to have ‘made contact’ with him.

The man’s body was pushed into the next lane and was reportedly struck by a third vehicle. The unidentified man suffered fatal injuries.

Police are currently investigating the man’s reasons for being on the highway.

Sources say drugs and alcohol have not played a role for any of the drivers involved in the incident so far. However, it is not certain that this applies to the man on the road.

Holmes is a Welsh-Canadian actor with credits in The Boys, Arrow, Supernatural and Elysium.

He received a Canadian Screen Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role for his role in 19-2 in 2017.

Now he stars in the upcoming reboot of the hit series The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air with actor Will Smith as executive producer.

The show is based on a fan-made trailer that went viral in 2019.

Directed by Fresh Prince superfan Morgan Cooper, the trailer had the tagline on YouTube, “What if Will Smith did The Fresh Prince today?” Bel-Air, the story of a kid from Philly whose life changed … in 2019. ‘

The atmospheric, brooding trailer successfully updates some tropes from the original series, with intense passages of real-life police brutality as well as the moment when Will’s mother tells him, “The only reason you’re not in jail is because Uncle Phil called a favor! ‘

Fashion choices are significant and updated until today, with sartorial slogans saying “Free Meek” and “What would Meek do” (references to rapper Meek Mill and his battle with the US justice system at the following a contested conviction in 2007).

Cooper will co-write and direct the new project, and be co-executive producer alongside Smith.
