Abu Dhabi Hosts Real-Life ‘Squid Game’ Event This Week: Report – .

Players will be competing for a custom green tracksuit, not $ 38 million like in the Netflix series.

Call to all Squid game Fans! If you’re one of the millions of people who have streamed the Netflix original series so far, we’ve got some great news – an actual version of the show (minus the bloodshed, of course) is slated to take place this week, in Abu Dhabi.

According to Insider, the Korean Cultural Center in the United Arab Emirates hosted the event, which will take place on Tuesday, October 12.

This interpretation of Squid game will see two teams of 15 people each compete against each other in four different games that were originally introduced during the series premiere on September 17.

The “Red Light Green Light” is one of the most anticipated events, although players can also try their hand at “Dalgona Candy”, “Marbles” and “Ddakji”.

If you haven’t seen the Korean show yet, the principle is simple: a group of 456 desperate individuals, all strapped for cash with no other way out, agree to participate in a series of deadly challenges, inspired by popular games. for kids, all in the hopes of hitting the $ 38 million jackpot.

Unfortunately for our Abu Dhabi players, they won’t bring in a huge paycheck if they win. However, they’ll receive a custom green tracksuit and bragging rights, which is still pretty cool.

Since Squid game created almost a month ago, it generated a major buzz. This series currently sits at No. 1 on Netflix’s Daily Top 10 in Canada list, and we recently reported that the streamer is excited about the potential for a second season.
