The three brothers who make up three quarters of the rock band Kings Of Leon are in mourning over the death of their beloved mother, Betty Ann Murphy.
Her passing comes just a day after Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill took to the group’s official website to reveal their mother’s health had “worsened” and Thursday and Friday’s shows in California were canceled.
But on Friday Nathan, 42, the oldest of the brothers, took to his Instagram page and broke the sad news of their mother’s passing, along with a photo of himself as a child with his mother, and another of her name tattooed on her body.

‘My heart is broken. My stepmom and biggest fan went from this life to the next, ”the drummer wrote.
“I will cherish the memories I made with her and her legacy will live on through me, my brothers and our beautiful families,” the drummer wrote.
“I’m sure grief will hit me the hardest when I least expect it, but I have an incredible support system around me. Thanks for all the kind words and prayers. Hold your mothers tight tonight. I love you forever mom. Keep calm. Your Nathan.

Her younger brother Jared, 34, is also said to be sharing a sentimental post on Instagram with a series of photos of her mother taken over the years.

A day earlier, the group shared a post about how their mother was “dealing with a medical crisis for the past few weeks.”
