Taliban soldiers have reportedly captured a number of members of ISIS, the terrorist group responsible for the recent bombing of Kabul airport.
At least 182 people died, including 13 in the US armed forces.
Meanwhile, Taliban forces have reportedly been going door-to-door looking for former members of the Afghan security forces.
They allegedly shot pregnant policewoman Banu Negar in front of her children and her husband at her home in Ghor.
It follows the head of the British armed forces declaring that “everyone was wrong” about how quickly the Taliban would take Afghanistan.
General Sir Nick Carter said: “It was the pace that surprised us. “
He asserted that Western nations could lead the Taliban, adding, “They are going to need a little help to effectively run a modern state.
“If they behave well, they might get help. “
