PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Eagles placed tight end Zach Ertz on the reserve / COVID-19 list on Monday.
According to NFL protocols, vaccinated and asymptomatic players can return after providing two negative test results 24 hours apart, while unvaccinated players who test positive must self-isolate for at least 10 days. The Eagles’ next game is Monday Night Football on September 27 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Ertz, 30, played Sunday in a 17-11 loss to the San Francisco 49ers and finished with a catch for 6 yards on two targets.

The Eagles have already lost two key veterans to injury this week. Coach Nick Sirianni confirmed on Monday that defensive end Brandon Graham has ruptured an Achilles tendon and will be missing the rest of the year. Guard Brandon Brooks has a strained pectoral and is expected to be entered in the injured reserve, but is expected to return this season, according to Sirianni.

“BG will be sorely missed. He is the heart and soul of this team, ”said Sirianni. “I’m looking forward to the guys stepping up, different guys leading, just an ongoing role for Fletcher Cox to lead. I think he’s a great leader. He shares that with BG – now he has to take that back from the field to lead that defense and help lead that defense. “

Rookie Landon Dickerson replaced Brooks at right guard. Sirianni said they have yet to decide whether Dickerson or Nate Herbig will start on Monday night.
