Liverpool and City occupy the top two places in the league after the opening six games, and Guardiola described his early preparations for the game.
Speaking after the loss to PSG, Guardiola explained the rather unorthodox tactics he and his players can employ ahead of the weekend game.
“Now we are going to eat well tonight, we are going to have a glass of wine, we are going to recover and prepare for the match on Sunday [against Liverpool] Guardiola told BT Sport.
He added: “At the end, yes, the last 10 minutes were better, good performances, we did everything we couldn’t score.
“We defend well, they defend in depth and of course their counterattack is always dangerous with the quality they had but we controlled them, unfortunately we could not score but it is football.
“Nothing more to say than my biggest compliment to the team. “
Klopp also spoke to BT Sport following Liverpool’s win over Porto, and played down the idea that momentum was a deciding factor for Sunday’s game against Man City.

« [It] always help [momentum] but against City it doesn’t help at all, ”Klopp said.
“We need a lot more than just a swing and we need to play better than tonight, but it’s clear anyway.
“It will be a different game, I have only heard the result of the PSG City game now, so City are going and wanting to fight back.
“We’re back home after a few games without our home crowd, so let’s give it a try. “
