Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) has left EastEnders with newborn baby Annie and husband Mick (Danny Dyer) by her side.

The owner of the Queen Vic decided to move away from the place a bit, following the threat of Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ).

Rainie (Tanya Franks), as viewers know, is on a mission to bring Max Branning (Jake Wood) back to Walford, after kidnapping Abi.

With little knowledge of where the lothario was, she resorted to terror from Linda, after finding out that she was carrying Max’s baby.

When her plan to involve Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) failed, she announced in front of a group of random gamblers that Linda’s newborn was Max’s, not Mick’s.

Mick begged Rainie to leave his family alone, but when she didn’t get the hint he fought back in a big way, telling Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) – who carries Rainie’s child – that Rainie is consuming at new drug.

Rainie was horrified to find out what Patriarch Carter had done, and she did all she could to prove to Bernie that she didn’t take drugs. Stuart, meanwhile, decided to have a word with Mick, telling him he was “disappointed” that he ducked so low.

Linda overheard the conversation and – the pressure getting too much – suggested that she, Mick, Annie and Ollie visit her mother Elaine for a while.

Mick agreed and Shirley (Linda Henry) promised to help Frankie (Rose Ayling-Ellis) and Nancy (Maddy Hill) run the pub in their absence.

Linda was waiting at the door, while Mick took one last look around the Queen Vic, before leaving.

This edition of the BBC One soap opera marks Linda’s last appearance before actress Kellie Bright’s maternity leave.

EastEnders continues Thursday, September 23 at 7:35 p.m. on BBC One.
