Israeli plane crashes near Greece, 2 dead – report – .

The bodies of two people were reportedly found after a small private Israeli plane crashed near the eastern Aegean island of Samos on Monday evening, Greek media reported.

The plane, a Cessna 172, reportedly left Israel and “encountered a problem approaching the island’s airport.”

The nature of this problem is unclear, although the evidence seems to point to a technical issue with the engine, CNN reported.

There are reports that a search and rescue team has been dispatched, including local volunteers.

There were no other passengers on the plane, according to reports.
