Ginger Gonzaga (“She-Hulk”, “Kidding”, “Space Force”) will star alongside Steve Howey in the pilot of the television series “True Lies” for CBS.
Gonzaga will play Helen, a role played by Jamie Lee Curtis in the original 1994 James Cameron film on which the series is based. Howey plays her husband Harry, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original.
Helen is described as Harry’s supportive wife, mother of two teenagers and a linguistics teacher who is annoyed by Harry’s constant business trips.
Delighted when Harry invites him on a trip to Paris, Helen is in a rude shock when she sees a very different side of her husband, learning that he is, in fact, a world-class spy.
Burn Notice creator Matt Nix writes pilot and executive production while Anthony Hemingway will direct pilot and executive production. James Cameron will also be executive producer.
