Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, has separately confirmed that it was his client’s choice to take a social media break.
Spears and her longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari got engaged on Sunday after a five-year relationship.
In one of his latest Instagram posts, Spears said the proposal “was worth the wait.”
Our insider also noted that big celebrities take social media breaks “all the time,” and that shouldn’t be seen as something negative for Spears.
Besides her engagement, another major victory the “Toxic” singer has enjoyed recently is her father, Jamie Spears, who is finally taking action to end his guardianship.
Britney shared in court hearings over the summer that she viewed her Conservatives as “abusive” and in control of many aspects of her life.
The ‘Lucky’ singer’s social media sparked a lot of concern from her die-hard fans, who wondered if Britney was sending secret pleas for help in her posts.
Britney’s social media manager Cassie Petrey has previously argued that the pop star is the mastermind behind all of her posts.
“Britney creates her own posts and writes her own captions for Instagram,” Petrey wrote on her own Instagram earlier this year. “She finds Google images, Pinterest images, quotes, memes and everything else herself. No one is suggesting that sort of thing to him. She usually edits the videos herself.
