The PlayStation Showcase has been expected since the E3 2021 season. After much speculation, Sony has officially announced the PlayStation Showcase, which will review upcoming PS titles, both announced and unannounced.
While God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7, and Horizon Forbidden West are heavily rumored to make appearances, here’s a look at some possible announcements.
Unannounced games that could make surprise debuts at PlayStation Showcase
The event has been overdue for some time, and the hype has intensified after PlayStation’s absence during the E3 2021 season. Ahead of their showcase, here are a few unannounced games Sony could reveal.
1) La suite Marvel Spider-Man d’Insomniac
Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man was released in 2018. The game managed to capture the titular superhero’s free ride and tell an incredible story following the adult Peter Parker.
After Marvel Spider-Man Miles Morales, fans were eagerly awaiting to catch up with Peter and Miles in the sequel.
Sony announced the game at E3 2016, two years before the game’s launch. As such, they could announce the sequel at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase, with a target release date of 2023.
2) Remake solide de Metal Gear
Since the departure of Phantom Pain and Kojima from Konami, the Metal Gear franchise has been more or less dormant with the main series, as Konami has repeatedly tried to revive the franchise.
Many rumors suggest that a Metal Gear Solid remake is in the works. Rumors have it that the remake is being developed by PlayStation in partnership with Konami.
It would be interesting to see what a real Metal Gear Solid game looks like without the involvement of series creator Hideo Kojima.
3) Bloodborne remasterisé
PlayStation has been known to re-release beloved titles instead of just providing a simple upgrade path. So far in this generation, Sony has remastered or released the director’s cuts of Spider-Man and Ghost of Tsushima.
The Demon Souls remake, released in early January, was a fantastic game and left fans hungry for more soulful games. As such, PlayStation could bring Bloodborne to the PS5.
However, rather than a full-fledged remake, it could be remastered and directed by Bluepoint.
4) IP d’origine de Bend Studio
After Days Gone failed to live up to internal expectations, a proposed sequel was boxed. Since then, Bend Studios has been working on an original new IP address, with the proposed open world of Days Gone.
The studio has been working on the title for almost two years and could unveil it with a release date aimed at the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023 at the latest.
5) the last of us remake
A remake of the iconic 2013 game Last of Us has been rumored for some time. It will be said to be based on the same engine as Last of Us 2 and use the graphics and gameplay improvements introduced in the sequel.
Note: It is reminded that the above list is in no way a confirmation of a possible announcement. It is simply speciation based on plausible facts, rumors and leaks. This article reflects the author’s point of view.
