William Quince Colburn III reportedly shot his 53-year-old mother Jana Colburn on her birthday alongside his father William Colburn Jr, 63, and sister Emma, 13.
The teenager also allegedly killed the two dogs of the family, the officers discovering the “graphic scene” inside the trailer Wednesday morning.
Police found the teenager after sharing photos of his deceased relatives on social media and threatening to shoot at a school.
Officers called the shooter out of the trailer in Ingleside, Texas, then heard a single shot followed by “the thud of a person falling to the ground.”
The Texas Aransas Pass Police Department said, “Entry was made into the camper van and immediately discovered the graphic scene shared on social media.
“The young male was also found dead from a gunshot wound. In total, investigators found four dead bodies and two dead dogs. “
Jana Colburn’s daughter, Mahria Martin Batts, has created a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral costs.
On the page, which raised over £ 8,700, she wrote: ‘This morning we all woke up excited to say a happy 53rd birthday to our mother.
“Instead, we were devastated by news that deeply shattered us. Around 8 a.m., my brother, Marvin, got a phone call that no one ever wants to receive.
“He was contacted by a judge in Aransas Pass, Texas, that a tragedy had taken place.
“We were told that there had been an incident which claimed the lives of our mother (Jana Colburn would be 53 years old today), father (William ‘Buck’ Colburn Jr. 62), little sister (Emma Colburn 13 ) and brother (William “Quince” Colburn III 15).
“As you can imagine, it’s difficult for us right now. It’s not something we never imagined happening. We were not prepared for 1 loss, but only 4. Especially our brothers and sisters.
“We are injured. We do not understand. We are lost. We are angry. “
San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera said police spoke with the shooter before he committed suicide.

Mr Rivera said: “Shortly after 2 a.m., DPS McAllen contacted our office to say that a 15-year-old man posted disturbing photos on social media of his deceased family members stating that he had them. had killed.
“The PD of Aransas Pass called us a few moments later to tell us that they were receiving the same information and that he was threatening to continue his violence in a school in the region.
“Our assistants working with Aransas Pass & Ingleside PD were able to locate his RV residence.
“The officers approached the residence and spoke with a man from outside the motorhome and asked him to come out. He said no, then only one shot was heard. “
