WFT DT Daron Payne Placed on NFL Reserve / COVID-19 List – .

Former Alabama defensive tackle Daron Payne is set to start his fourth NFL season with the Washington football team. The No. 13 overall pick in the 2018 draft had a pretty big impact on Washington’s defense, which is set to be one of the league’s best in 2021.
While the team’s defense is highly regarded, the vaccination rate among players has been the target of criticism recently.

Recent reports suggest Washington is well below the rest of the league in terms of the percentage of team members vaccinated.

Ron Rivera, the team’s head coach, recently overcame an uphill battle with skin cancer and openly expressed his frustration at the team’s reluctance to get the shot.

It is not known if Payne was one of those players, nor is it known if he contracted the virus or if he was simply around someone who tested positive. Regardless, Payne has been placed on the NFL’s Reserve / COVID-19 roster, according to the team’s official Twitter.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to report on Payne and his likelihood of returning to training camp.
