West Berkshire Council investigates alleged ‘unauthorized development’ in Thatcham after reports – .


An investigation has been opened following reports of an unauthorized development taking place in Berkshire.
Work is reportedly taking place at a site off Lawrence’s Lane, Thatcham.

On Sunday afternoon, West Berkshire Council confirmed that it sees it as a “priority” and will take “appropriate enforcement action” if necessary.

BerkshireLive understands workers started arriving on Friday evening.

A West Berkshire Council spokesperson said: ‘We are aware of complaints of unauthorized development that took place on Lawrence’s Lane, Thatcham over the weekend.

“We are currently investigating as a priority and will take appropriate enforcement action to remedy any planning control violations identified at the site. “
