Ariana Grande’s Fortnite Rift Tour event is now over after a series of five screenings that spanned the weekend. If you weren’t able to attend yourself or would like to catch a replay, you can review the entire concert-type event below. Grande’s performance was headlining, but the full in-game event took players on a space-time journey through Fortnite’s illustrious history, and it marked a return to form. for Fortnite.

As players danced and roused above the party-themed kidnapper hovering above The Aftermath, the countdown reset and revealed a large rift door in the center of the abductor. Getting Into It took players on an expedition that showcased past Fortnite performances, like Marshmello, while revisiting story-laden past scenes like Kevin The Cube and The Storm King. There was even an aerial combat mini-game that scored the score.

After the entire lobby defeated the last Big Bad and landed in a black void, they helped each other stand up in a cinematic sequence meant to pull the chords and lay the red carpet for the show’s main act. A shooting star has come down with some of the best high marks from both worlds – ours and the Fortnite realm on loop. Ariana Grande hit the virtual stage and opened with Seven Rings as players floated around her massive avatar.

She went on to perform segments of her other hits including Positions, Be Alright and The Way with her ex-partner, the late Mac Miller. With each song transition, Grande shattered her diamond encrusted pickaxe and propelled the audience into different realms. One scene featured fluffy, pink trees like something out of a Seuss story. Another had players climbing up Escher-type stairs as they moved and twisted in unpredictable ways. It looks like Epic Games decided to raise the ante after Travis Scott’s show in 2020, and while that’s a matter of taste, we’d say they did.

You can check out the full Rift Tour video above or check out the in-game tab for this weekend’s remaining show times. Make sure to jump into the Rift Tour playlist using your favorite character skin, as they’ll be built right into the show in a fun way that we won’t spoil here. After the show, Epic Games Creative Director Donald Mustard was thrilled and promised things like the Rift Tour are just the beginning.
