Spider-Man: No Path HomeThe first trailer for finally kicks off after what seemed like months of waiting.
The trailer was officially released by Marvel Studios and Sony on Tuesday, August 24 after it was leaked online over the weekend. While there is little in there that we didn’t already know, that doesn’t mean it’s not something to get excited about.
As suspected, it looks like Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is seeking the help of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in making people forget he’s Spider-Man. The problem, it seems, is that the spell to do so would also make MJ (Zendaya) and co forget that he is Spidey.
Peter doesn’t want that and it looks like he’s spoiling the spell somehow, which in turn causes multiversal insanity, including the arrival of Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) who ends the trailer by saying, “Hello Peter. “
Spider-Man: No Path Home marks Holland’s Spider-Man’s third solo outing, and the star has already teased what fans can expect from the trio.
“I can say this is the most ambitious standalone superhero movie ever made. You sit down, read the script and see what they’re trying to do, and they are successful. It is really impressive. I’ve never seen a standalone superhero movie quite like this, ”he said.
All speeches on Spider-Man: No Path Home has been centered around the multiverse with reports it will bring back former Spider-Man stars Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, among others.
We haven’t heard anything from Maguire, but Garfield has categorically denied his presence in the movie, but he might well play the game.
“It’s fucking hilarious for me,” he said previously. “I have this Twitter account and I see how many times Spider Man is all the rage, and it’s like people are freaking out about something and I’m like “Guys…”
“I wish I could talk to everyone and say, for example, ‘I recommend you relax’. I can’t speak for anything but me, they could do something. But I don’t have a call. “
The trailer doesn’t reveal whether those rumors were true or not, although fans were ecstatic this weekend over an alleged set photo featuring Maguire and Garfield together.
Spider-Man: No Path Home hits theaters on December 17th.
