Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Co-op issue urgent food recall amid choking and listeria fears – .


Supermarket giants are urgently recalling products for fear they contain undeclared allergens, choking hazards for children and dangerous bacteria, listeria.
Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Co-op all have active product recalls.

According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), potato snacks, jelly cups, chicken wings and cheese are among the most recently recalled foods.

The FSA provided full item details to assist customers, including their photos, package sizes, lot codes, and dates of use.

If you have purchased any of the products listed below, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund, reports LancsLive.

A receipt will not be required to be able to claim your money.

Potato snacks



Popchips are sold by a number of supermarkets

KP Snacks is recalling Popchips Sea Salt Flavored Potato Snacks from the marketplace because they contain milk which is not listed on the label.

This means that the product poses a potential risk to the health of anyone who is allergic or intolerant to milk or its components.

Due to a packaging error, some packages may have been filled with Sour Cream Onion Popchips.

The product is sold in various supermarkets, including Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s.

Coop Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings

Co-op recalls Co-op Hot and Spicy Chicken Wings because the product contains barley (gluten) which is not listed on the label.

This means that the product poses a risk to the health of anyone allergic or intolerant to barley (gluten).

The FSA said, “If you have purchased the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to barley (gluten), do not eat it.

“Instead, customers should call 0800 0686 727, send an email to [email protected] or return it to store for a full refund. “

Jelly



Jelly may contain a choking hazard

Lung Wah Chong is recalling several Jelly cup products because they may present a choking hazard.

The FSA said this is because the product can be sprayed from a one-piece cup or capsule by exerting pressure on the tip.

The FSA said, “The products may present a choking hazard due to the consistency, solubility, shape, size and way of consumption of the food.

“The products can be thrown from the cup or the one-piece capsule by exerting pressure on the tip and can therefore cause a risk of suffocation. “

Cahill’s Farm Cheese continues to recall a number of cheese products because Listeria monocytogenes was found in the product.

The Product Recall Information Notice (PRIN) has been updated to include additional products and lots and replaces the original PRIN.

The FSA stated: “The presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the product listed above.

“The symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to those of the flu and include a high temperature, aches or pains in the muscles, chills, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea. However, in rare cases, the infection can be more serious, leading to serious complications, such as meningitis. .

“Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including people over 65, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies under one month old, and people with weakened immune systems. “

Morrisons Bhaji Snack Jar

Morrisons continues to recall the Morrisons Onion Bhaji and Mango Chutney snack jar because it contains wheat (gluten) which is not listed on the label.

This means that the product poses a health risk to anyone allergic or intolerant to wheat or gluten.
