Strictly Come Dancing Confirms Seventh and Eighth Celebrities – .


Come dance strictly has confirmed Katie McGlynn and Dan Walker as the latest celebrities to join the 2021 lineup.

Announced today (Aug 10) BBC breakfast, the Hollyoaks and old Coronation Street the star said she was “super excited” to join the lineup, before the show added a twist by revealing the Breakfast star too.

“I’m nervous to see what people will think because I’m not a dancer,” Katie admitted. “I have always admired dancers, they are amazing at what they do. I secretly think I always wanted to be one. “

Katie added to the BBC: “It’s been so hard to keep it a secret, but I can finally say I’m getting ready to rock my shimmy and be part of the Strictly family!

“I’m definitely not a dancer, but I’m so excited to learn a new skill on this crazy journey and can’t wait to slip into some glitter along the way.

“While I have a lot of fun as an actress, a lot of my roles have involved some pretty serious and thought-provoking storylines, so I’m all set to let my hair down and do something different, even though it t is completely outside of my comfort zone.

“I can’t promise I’ll be the best, but I’ll give it 110% on the dance floor!” As long as I don’t fall, I’ll be happy. “

The show then added another surprise by revealing that their own Dan would be joining the Strictly alignment too.

“I’m one of those people, I’ve danced at three weddings, two school clubs,” he joked. “I’m enjoying the experience of actually being able to learn to dance, to have a little fun… we’ll see what happens.

“I don’t make room on our shelves in our house for the Glitterball. “
