The 8 out of 10 cat star died of cancer at the age of 58.
His death shocked fans after keeping his battle with the disease out of public view.
But close friend and fellow comedian Bill, 56, shared how Sean seemed to be in high spirits in the days leading up to his death.
Bill said, “Even in his last days we were still laughing, joking, brainstorming. We had good conversations. I brought my guitar and sang his favorite Johnny Cash songs to him. “
The Strictly Come Dancing winner also tweeted his condolences, describing Sean as his “dearest friend” who was a “true original” and a “wonderful comedian”.

Another friend of Sean’s, comedian and TV presenter Harry Hill also paid tribute to the star and pointed out the humor he shared in his final days.
Harry told the Telegraph: “He struggled with [the illness] – he went through all the same emotions that anyone in that position would experience.
“But he was stoic about it. Because he was so smart, he learned about all the latest treatments. He knew a lot more about this aspect of medicine than I ever did. “
And Harry recounted how Sean had called him from a hospice. “I asked him what it was like, and he said, ‘It’s actually good and the sex is amazing. “
Sean’s death was confirmed Wednesday in a statement from his agency Off The Curb Productions, which said: “It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Sean Lock.
“He died at home from cancer, surrounded by his family.
“Sean was one of Britain’s best comedians, his boundless creativity, lightning wit and absurd brilliance in his work marked him as a unique voice in British comedy.
“Sean was also a cherished husband and the father of three children. Sean will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

“We kindly ask that the privacy of his family and children be respected at this difficult time. “
Fans and famous faces quickly paid tribute to the star after the announcement.
Among those who took to social media to offer their condolences was Jimmy Carr. The 8 out of 10 cat host admitted he cried while watching old clips of his friend.
The 48-year-old wrote on Twitter: “Brutal news about Sean Lock today.
” I loved it. I’m watching clips of him right now – laughing and crying. I will miss him so much. “
And his “rival” in the hit series Jon Richardson has explained how he “idolizes” Sean. He wrote: “I idolized Sean as a comedian long before I became a comedian myself and ten years of working alongside him hasn’t diminished that in any way.
“An incredible comedic brain and a truly unique voice. I am devastated for his family today and sad for the comedy that we lost one of the best.
“Undisputed and undefeated carrot champion in a box. I’ll miss him. “
