The Royal Family have been officially called in for their deeply regrettable mistake regarding Meghan Markle’s treatment.
The claim was made in a Telegraph royal newsletter from expert and editor Camilla Tominey.
she started by drawing comparisons between the treatment suffered by both Camila and Meghan and wrote: ‘I just wrote an article on the Duchess of Cornwall this weekend, in which a former assistant commented on what point she liked to talk to us about hacks. “
“This is despite the tabloids which spent most of the 1990s and early 2000s slandering her as ‘Britain’s most hated woman’ and ‘public enemy number one’.
“‘She loves gossip, she loves good stories and she knows journalists are inherently interesting people,” insisted the source. “
“What Camilla went through makes the newspapers’ treatment of Prince Harry and Meghan like a walk in the park – and yet the Sussexes remain the most anti-press of them all. “
“I always thought it was deeply regrettable that the palace never properly presented Meghan to the royal press kit – as they did when Kate Middleton got engaged to Prince William. “
“It’s really only when the royals and journalists meet face to face that the two sides realize that there is probably more to unite them than to divide them. ”
