Roman Reigns tears up CM Punk over how he was in WWE – .

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns spoke to Ariel Helwani for BT Sport this week to promote Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam main event against John Cena. Reigns shot former WWE Champion CM Punk during the interview.
Helwani mentioned how Punk and others have spoken in the past about the return of part-time Superstars to WWE to secure seats for the main event. He asked Reigns how he felt about it, seeing as he’s a full-time artist and Cena is coming back to face him in the SummerSlam main event, when we don’t know exactly what Cena is. has planned for his future in WWE. Helwani asked Reigns if he was fine with this sort of arrangement.

Reigns responded and explained how beneficial it was for him to be in the ring with a big name like Cena, but he also criticized Punk to tell him how great Punk really was.

“I can see it from both points of view,” Reigns replied. “But I think you’ve said it before, that ‘high tide brings all the boats up’ and everyone benefits. So I think there’s this weird threshold, but I think these statements come from bitter people who maybe thought they were better than they actually were. In the end, CM Punk wasn’t as good or as finished as John Cena, wasn’t as good or as finished or moved the needle like The Rock. It was just what it was.

“As a full-time artist, I understand the frustration and the desire for more, but like I said before, you have to take it. I am a full time artist but I have done everything that needed to be done to stay in this position, to be in this position, to continue to give myself the opportunity to be in a male event at SummerSlam against a John Cena. If someone shows up to try to get me out of this scenario, I’m going to fight like hell to keep the ground I made. It’s just one of those questionable… we can come and go, and we can change our point of view, if you’re one of those types of people who can see it with another look, but I really think if more than ‘eyes- bullets are made to our product, and of course it depends on who it is, but a guy like John Cena, who stars in several movies this summer, and ultimately wins the right, and he’s at that part of his career where if he’s a part-time artist I’m not going to complain. I’m just going to capitalize on his presence here, and all he brings with that, and that’s my goal, that’s the whole thing for me, is John Cena… why wouldn’t I wanna be on the ring, why wouldn’t I want him to come to me? You know what I mean? He’s the biggest movie star of the summer right now, why would I… and he came to me, he came to The Head of The Table, he came to Roman Reigns. He wanted to be in the ring with me, and I’m not going to complain.

Reigns continued, “But I think other people who think they should have more or be more, and aren’t willing to do it, they’re going to have a different explanation than what I just did. “

Punk is set to make his AEW debut this Friday night at the Rampage at the United Center in Chicago.
