Ontario Reports 513 New Cases of COVID-19, Over 80% Among Unvaccinated or Partially Vaccinated People – .


Ontario is now reporting 513 new cases of COVID-19, more than 80% of which are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.

This is the highest case total since mid-June and is based on 22,896 tests carried out the day before.

No new deaths from the virus were reported in the province today.

Health Minister Christine Elliott said 113 people were in intensive care units due to COVID-19, and only two of them are fully vaccinated.

Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy today announced that Ontario is spending an additional $ 2.2 billion in spending related to COVID-19, amid continued uncertainty over worrisome variants.

He released the province’s first quarter 2021-2022 finances and says it’s important to have resources to prepare for potential future outbreaks of the pandemic.
