Olly Murs injured himself on stage again as fan hits him in the face with a bottle of sunscreen – .

Olly Murs suffered another painful injury on stage after being bombarded with a bottle of sunscreen by a fan.

The singer, 37, was performing at Newbury Racecourse on Saturday when he was punched in the face with a plastic container, leaving him rubbing his eyes and unable to see.

The incident comes just a week after Olly underwent surgery for another injury he sustained while playing.

The former X Factor star underwent surgery to remove a bone fragment that had lodged in the back of his knee after vigorously jumping on stage.

Returning to the stage, Olly appeared unstoppable this weekend as he sang for the crowd while wearing a leg brace, telling his fans he was going to “take it easy.”

But the performance took a turn for the worse when an over-excited fan threw a bottle of sunscreen onto the stage, which hit Olly in the face.

Speaking of the accident on an Instagram Live afterwards, Olly said, “Sunscreen was not a good idea halfway through the concert.

“Thanks to whoever threw it at me, my eyes are still itching from this.” “

Fortunately, despite the setback, Olly said he still managed to enjoy the performance, adding, “The gig was amazing. To be honest with you, it was better than I expected. I was trying to be a little careful on stage. “

Earlier this month, Olly referred to this weekend’s performance and how it was going to be a little different as he recovered from his surgery.

On Instagram, he said: “It will be a different gig, I probably won’t be running as usual. There might be a stool I can sit on, but I can’t cancel these concerts. “

He was rushed to hospital for surgery after “Crazy 72 Hours” just a few weeks ago.

Giving fans an update from his hospital bed, he told his 3.6 million Instagram followers, “Basically after my second song a bone fragment that was in my knee got it right – after jumping – to lodge in the back of the knee, which basically closed my leg.

“During the concert I was limping all the time, I couldn’t believe it. So basically I’m in it, I had an operation. “

Olly continued, “It’s been a crazy 72 hours because I was thinking the worst, I thought maybe I could have done my knee again. I thought I had ruptured my ACL, to be honest. “
