The Indians are 4-1 in their last five games of Game 1 of a series and 6-2 in their last eight games on Monday. The upper hand is 24-11-3 in Cleveland’s last 38 games against AL Central and 5-2 in their last seven with a 9.0-10.5 total.
Meanwhile, the Twins are 2-8 in their last 10 games against a loss-record team and 1-4 in their last five home games against a loss-record team. The surplus is 5-1 in the Twins’ last six games on Monday and 33-15-5 in their last 53 games against AL Central.
TO TAKE: I will stay with the Indians. We should have a good starting game in our hands here though. Quantrill has surrendered just two wins in his last three starts, totaling 10 hits and seven walks in 19.0 innings during that span. As for Jax, he’s given up six wins in his last four starts in 20.1 frames. I like that both guys pitch well in this one, with Cleveland scoring a late win.
