Man Utd quartet brace for mega pay hikes as Solskjaer plays Pogba’s ace card – .

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to secure Manchester United’s long-term future by awarding four stars with new deals – and it remains to be hoped that they can still persuade Paul Pogba to commit to a new deal.
The Red Devils have started the 2021/22 season in the best possible way with a 5-1 rout from Leeds. The victory – thanks to a hat-trick from Bruno Fernandes – will give hope that United can end their five-year wait to win a trophy.

Solskjaer rewarded for progress at United with exceptional new contract of its own. This offers him security and stability as he plans to close the gap with champions Manchester City.

Now the United boss is confident he’ll tie four of his most important debuts to new deals. According to The sun, Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford are all in line for a pay rise.

First on the agenda is the star man, Fernandes. Coming from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020, he was a revelation at Old Trafford. In 81 appearances for the club, he already has 43 goals under his belt – a strike rate of over 1 in 2. He also had 25 assists during that span, which equates to 68 goals in 81 games for the club.

And although he is under contract with Old Trafford until 2026, he only earns around £ 100,000 a week. Now the club are looking to more than double his salary. Indeed, they say any new deal will net him between £ 200,000 and £ 300,000 a week – a fitting reward as one of their star men.

English trio Rashford, Maguire and Shaw all earn between £ 180,000 and £ 200,000 a week. Now The sun claims they will also be offered terms similar to Fernandes.

Rashford and Shaw’s deals both end in two summers – although United are retaining one-year options. However, the pair can expect both an extension of their agreements as well as an increase.

The Maguire agreement currently runs until 2025.

Solskjaer also remains determined to tie Pogba to a new deal. His contract now having less than 10 months to run, there has been a wave of speculation about his future lately.

Pogba signaled his quality with one of his all-time best games for United on Saturday. With four assists to his name, he has already improved his Premier League tally to three last season.

What’s more, he’s also the first Manchester United player – and only seventh overall – to achieve such a feat in a single Premier League game.

United, however, remain hopeful that Pogba will sign a new agreement. Performances like Saturday’s will certainly help.

Moreover, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano insists talks continue between United and his agent Mino Raiola.

Now Solskjaer is ready to play an ace card by letting Pogba know he can become United’s main man. He wants to give the midfielder a free role and without the limitations Jose Mourinho has placed on his game.

He will also inform the midfielder that he might not get the same guarantee at a club like PSG or Real Madrid. Moreover, it will reinforce the message to Pogba that the club is moving now.

With Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane ready to add to the mix, hopes are shining for a strong push for the trophies at Old Trafford.

Gary Neville drops the Pogba bomb

Despite all of this, Gary Neville insists he has a strong feeling Pogba will be on his way next summer.

“Leeds are a perfect opponent because they play one-on-one. Manchester United separated them, ”he said on Air sports.

“Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba were exceptional and it was a very good start for Manchester United.

“It’s an absolute given that if Fernandes and Pogba are at Manchester United they will both play.

“But I think what we’ll see is Pogba to the left of a top three for the big games. And he can play deeper in certain matches at Old Trafford when they need to unlock teams. It will create opportunities.

“Manchester United need a great season from Pogba because he is leaving next summer.

“I think Pogba will be excited about the team United are building, but he has a decision to make. Does he want to commit his future to Manchester United?

“If it’s a new contract, it will be for three, four or five years. And that means the best years of his career will be at Manchester United.

“I think Paul Pogba has the ambition to play elsewhere – and it has been clear for a few years. His agent told us and I think he will take this opportunity.

“I think right now he’s going to be like ‘I like this team but I want to go to Real Madrid or Paris’. “
