Los Angeles The Department of Public Health revised its order of health workers to require that everyone present at a “large outdoor event” wear a face mask, except when actively eating or drinking.

The order specifies that “actively eating or drinking” is the limited time during which the mask can be briefly removed to eat or drink (take a bite of food or sip a drink) and that the mask must be put back on immediately.
LADPH defines Mega Events as events with theLarge crowds of over 5,000 (indoors) and 10,000 (outdoors) of participants.

These events are considered a higher risk of transmission of COVID-19.
The “Outdoor Mega-Events” are defined in the health decree as “music or gastronomy festivals, motor shows, major endurance companies, events, marathons, parades, sporting events and concerts of more than 10,000 people ”.
The new order will go into effect on Thursday August 19 at 11:59 p.m.
