Juventus beaten 3-0 by Barcelona – .

Juventus failed to make the most of their chances and were beaten 3-0 by Barcelona in the pre-season friendly for the Gamper Trophy. You can watch the goals here.

Paulo Dybala was left in Turin to work on his fitness, while Italy internationals Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci were only on the bench. Aaron Ramsey was once again used as a midfield playmaker in front of the defense. Local fans were still reeling from the loss of Lionel Messi and chanted his name on several occasions during the game.

It only took the hosts three minutes to break through at Estadi Johan Cruyff, as a pass was not cut in midfield and Alex Sandro did not follow the rest of the offside trap, allowing in Memphis Depay to score relatively quietly.

Neto’s gloves were pitted by Cristiano Ronaldo and Yusuf Demir tapped in the rebound of an offside Antoine Griezmann effort.

Wojciech Szczesny lifted a foot to deny Demir after Rodrigo Bentancur and then Mattia De Sciglio were robbed. Neto also needed a good double stop on Morata and Matthijs De Ligt and then also prevented Morata’s corner strike.

At the stroke of half-time, Neto was again decisive on Ronaldo’s long-range free kick.

Max Allegri made many changes at the break, including Danilo replacing Ramsey in front of the defense.

Federico Chiesa caused a fingertip save with his well-caught shot, but Barcelona doubled their lead with Martin Braithwaite’s header from a corner at the far post.

Juve weren’t as effective in the second half and Riqui Puig added a third for Barca deep in saves with a wonderful curler from the edge of the box.
