Jurgen Klopp has sworn there will be a resolution to Jordan Henderson’s contract situation as he celebrates a new deal for Virgil van Dijk.
Henderson, the Liverpool captain, entered the final two years of his contract and was frustrated at the start of the summer when talks about extending his stay collapsed.
The stalemate led Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain to believe there was a chance to pull him off.

Liverpool have been busy renewing the terms of a number of key players and Van Dijk on Friday followed the lead of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho and Alisson Becker, as well as rising star Harvey Elliott, to engage his future .
Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are also in a similar position at Henderson, but more discussions have taken place recently with Fenway Sports Group, the owners of Liverpool, and progress is being made towards a suitable outcome.
