The England winger signed for United from Borussia Dortmund this summer in a contract worth £ 72.9million, after recording 114 direct goals in 137 games in all competitions for the Bundesliga team.
It was one of the most anticipated transfers in English football this year, but Sancho has yet to train with his new team-mates since signing the deal after a long hiatus.
It was previously understood that Sancho would return to the club on Friday, July 30, but that was not the case and the player did not return last week either. The club then confirmed that they would return next week.
While the 21-year-old has arguably taken a longer vacation than necessary, it’s not like he’s just sunbathing and having fun while he’s gone.
Sancho has done a lot to be sure, but he has also worked hard to prepare for the new Premier League season, as he showed with an Instagram post in July.
The former Manchester City academy graduate took to Instagram again on Sunday night just before his re-emergence at United, posting a clip featuring highlights of him training hard interspersed with moments of joy in the sun, subtitled “Nice break, back to the transplant.” Let’s go. “
“In Turks and Caicos (Islands) right now,” a panting Sancho told supporters at the start of the video. “Big session, big session. I can’t wait for the season to start. This is what it takes. “
The video certainly got United fans excited for his comeback, with thousands of commentators flooding the post with positive messages for the new signing.
Sancho will not have any minutes under his belt before the Premier League opener with Leeds United, however, so it is not certain that he will make his first start for the Red Devils on August 14.
