Hackney saw 848 cases in the week ending July 27, up from 1,489 the week before. That means the cases are down 43 percent.
The last time there was a decrease in cases was May 4.
People aged 20 to 39, the group with the highest incidence of the disease, saw the largest drop in the number of cases, from 1,142 in the week ending July 20 to 599 the last week.
People aged 16 to 39 in the district have the lowest vaccination rates, with 51% vaccinated so far. The proportion of people vaccinated is higher in each age group, with people over 50 having vaccination rates of over 70% or more.
59pc of the population of Hackney has been vaccinated so far.
