Giga Chikadze is three for three on his last bonus streak.
Chikadze was one of four fighters to receive a $ 50,000 post-fight bonus for his manual labor Saturday night at UFC Vegas 35. The 33-year-old Georgian crushed Edson Barboza via TKO in the second round during the main event of the night to go 7-0 in the UFC – a performance that marked Chikadze’s third straight knockout in a row and Chikadze’s post-fight bonus.
UFC President Dana White announced the winners of the night’s performance at the event’s post-fight press conference.
The other three bonus recipients were Abdul Razak Alhassan, who only needed 17 seconds to take out Alessio Di Chirico; Gerald Meerschaert, who scored a scintillating comeback on Makhmud Muradov; and Pat Sabatini, who submitted Jamall Emmers with a heel hook in the first round.
White also said TUF bantamweight finalists Ricky Turcios and Brady Hiestand will receive extra cash for their thrilling three-round battle, which Turcios won by split decision.
“I’ll give them some money too,” White said. “It was a great fight, a shared decision and give them a check too. It won’t be $ 50,000, but it will be good. They will not be disappointed.
