Details of the decision
Teddy Bridgewater will be the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos according to the team’s official Twitter account.
Bridgewater being the starter is a great announcement for fantasy managers, especially as the draft season is really starting to pick up speed. Even after being named a starter, Bridgewater is a streaming option in signle-QB leagues or a formidable QB2 in super flex leagues. Stakeholders also need to be honest with themselves in that Bridgewater may not have that role locked in for the year. This QB battle has been public and a hot topic for the Denver loyalists, but Bridgewater’s 84% completion rate, two touchdowns and no interceptions during the preseason have proven to be enough to be named the starter of the week 1.

Kyle Yates shares his outlook for Bridgewater:
Bridgewater has now been named a starting QB here in Denver, which is good news for the Broncos’ receiving options. Bridgewater is incredibly precise and poised and it should feature guys like Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler underneath. However, that is unlikely to translate into a consistent fantasy football production for Bridgewater in particular. It’s a solid low-end QB2 in the Superflex leagues – and it will have a few moments as a streaming option this year – but we shouldn’t think of it as anything other than that.
- Updated Kyle Yates Rank: QB26
- Dan Harris Rank Updated: QB29
How does the Broncos’ skill position impact players?
Yates and Dan are NOT moving players like Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton in their rankings at this point. Analysts discussed the Broncos’ wide receivers on a recent podcast to explain their outlook based on the quarterback under center (discussion begins around 3:30 p.m.):
