Chip Gaines has a whole new look.
During the pandemic, network pioneer Magnolia, 46, grew his hair out, surprising fans considering he had kept it at a constant length for the past several years.
However, on Friday he revealed he had hit his head in the name of charity.
“And just like that… let’s go! he tweeted alongside a video of himself receiving a haircut. “It’s all worth it if it means more kids at @stjude are taken care of. So we’re going to continue this stuff until midnight. Hey, @cwhl_org, my hair is on its way to you! “

In the video, Chip walks up to a small barbershop with his wife Joanna and a young boy.
“I can’t believe it I’m going to go bald,” he said as they walked to the store before revealing who the young boy accompanying him is.
“I met Bailey in 2017 while undergoing cancer treatment in St. Jude,” said the “Fixer Upper” star.

The video then cut to a silly joke between Chip and his wife, Joanna, 43, who compliments her husband’s ‘awesome hair’.
“You always said it sounded disgusting,” he replied. She jokingly replied, “I’ve never seen it so clean. “
Chip then explained that he was donating his hair to “a great cause called Children with Hair Loss”. According to the star, her hair will be made into a wig for children being treated for cancer.

In the clip, Joanna cuts a section of Chip’s hair before a hairdresser and Bailey take care of the rest.
“OK Chip, are you ready to see your repairman?” Joanna joked as Chip turned to see her new “do” in the mirror.
