Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street‘s Fiz Stape and his daughter Hope could be Weatherfield’s last fugitives.

In the revealing double bill from Friday’s ITV soap opera (August 6), the fire in Tyrone Dobbs and Alina Pop’s apartment was further investigated as police concluded that an accelerator had been used on the premises.

With her keys also missing, it made Alina fear for her life; had someone really tried to assassinate him?

Further on, Fiz uncovered evidence of the fire igniting in Hope’s toy box, and when Tyrone arrived at her house he looked puzzled at how shaken she was and asked Fiz about the AWOL key set.

She told him they had to talk, before Tyrone caught Hope red-handed on the stairs with her bags and suitcase packed.

Even though it was clear that they were about to run, poor Tyrone was utterly torn apart afterwards: to herbalize them both or risk taking Hope away from the family?

Meanwhile, Alina had her own suspicions and accused Fiz of arson against cop Craig Tinker.

The heat had indeed risen (pun intended) when Craig appeared at Fiz’s to question him about the crime, but Evelyn Plummer made an excuse as to why she wasn’t there.

In reality, Fiz and his young daughter had actually rushed to the station with Tyrone also supporting them with a cover story in front of Craig and Alina.

How far will they go to protect Hope?
