Campbell ‘would love’ for Arsenal to sign ‘frustrated’ West Ham star – .

Kevin Campbell has suggested he would ‘love’ Arsenal to sign ‘really good’ West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal.
Coufal signed for West Ham last summer for around £ 5.4million from Slavia Prague.

He turned out to be one of the Premier League’s best signing last summer as he shone for Londoners.

Removing transfer fees could help fix a broken game

Coufal helped his team to finish sixth in the Premier League, which earned them a place in the Europa League.

West Ham are currently negotiating a new contract with the defender. Air sports reported last week that Coufal is “frustrated” that the Hammers are trying to add incentives to his new contract.

Campbell had his say on Coufal’s situation with Football initiate. He believes West Ham’s contract offer is ‘derogatory’ and that he ‘would like’ it at Arsenal:

” Let the party begin. He’s one of them, isn’t he? It’s a game of chess. It’s always with things like that.

“He knows what the other players are getting and the offer they made to him is obviously derogatory.

“It’s clearly a far cry from what other people earn and that’s the problem. He had a very good season last year.

“He’s really good and he deserves to be paid accordingly. I would love him at Arsenal. ”

Elsewhere, Noel Whelan has suggested that West Ham is treating Coufal like an 18-year-old:

“Look at last year with his performances and what he brought aside.

“I think you start throwing in incentives when the kids come in and sign their first professional form. That, to me, doesn’t seem right.

“If he’s a great player and he’s so important to you, then you put the money in immediately.

“It’s a very simple signing of a contract: ‘This is what you deserve for what you put in last season. We don’t want to lose you and we want to show you your worth. ‘

“It comes down to a lump sum that you’re going to get every week. Not really on incentives because he’s part of a team that brought you to Europe.

“He drove you there so well last season with some assists as well. I am not surprised that he is very disappointed.

“They take a risk by putting a contract in front of someone like that with incentives. This is what you would do with an 18 or 19 year old.
