TMZ reports that the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department completed its investigation into the complaint and reported its findings to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office on Friday.

The housekeeper maintains that Spears hit her on the arm, while the singer claims that she just snatched a phone from him.
As TMZ first reported, the alleged altercation at Spears’ California home last Monday resulted in a complaint filed with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
Rosengart told DailyMail.com in an email at the time: “This is sensational fodder for the tabloids – nothing more than an alleged exaggerated misdemeanor involving an” he-she-said “by the way. from a cell phone, with no keystrokes and obviously no injury whatsoever, ”said Rosengart, a former federal prosecutor. “Anyone can lay a charge. When the housekeeper returned home around 10:25 a.m. on Monday, she was reportedly confronted with Spears over the welfare of her dog.
The argument between singer Oops, I Did It Again and her staff member then escalated and turned physical, with Spears snatching a phone from the housekeeper, according to the woman.
A spokesperson for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told DailyMail.com in an email confirming the incident that the housekeeper reported that “Ms. Spears hit her”. There were no injuries during the incident.
The housekeeper first summoned MPs to Spears’ house in Thousand Oaks, but then went to the sheriff’s station and filed a report alleging a battery.

According to TMZ, when MPs contacted Spears, 39, she declined to speak to them.

The agency spokesperson said the sheriff would submit the findings of the investigation to the district attorney’s office, which will determine whether a battery misdemeanor charge should be filed against Spears.
Under California law, misdemeanor battery is punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine.
Spears did not directly address the allegations against her. Instead, she shared a photo Thursday with her 33.4 million Instagram followers, which shows a young girl in a paper crown making a rude hand gesture. She wrote in the caption: “I feel like she made her point perfectly !!! ”
