Bars and nightclubs in central Okanagan closed to curb increase in COVID-19 cases

KELOWNA, BC – COVID-19 cases continue to rise in the central Okanagan, leading to more and tighter restrictions being put in place.

Provincial health worker Dr Bonnie Henry announced on Friday that the following restrictions have been implemented for the Lake Country area in Peachland, including Kelowna and West Kelowna:

Events and gathering orders will be enforced from Monday, August 9, while other bars, nightclubs and fitness measures will take effect today.
