Moriba made his first-team debut for the Catalan giants last season and has been impressive, comparing himself to Paul Pogba for his slim physique and creativity.
The 18-year-old had previously been linked with moves to Manchester City, Juventus and even Real Madrid, but has signed a contract with Barcelona, which is now due to expire in June 2022.
With a deal on a new deal set to be struck, Barca president Joan Laporta took a stand and issued an ultimatum to the midfielder.
“If you don’t want to renew, we have other solutions. What we do not want are players made in La Masia who do not want to renew. The club is above all. “
It is reported that Barcelona believe Moriba is being chased by a Premier League side, while Real Madrid are also said to be on alert if he becomes a free agent next summer.
Chelsea, United and City have all been linked with a possible move by Moriba, although it is not known if they would be interested in a move for him this summer.
Barcelona intend to sign him in a new deal or sell him during this window as they don’t want to lose star talent for nothing.
