The French women’s basketball team entered the Olympics as a EuroBasket finalist against Serbia. With this match, The Blue were able to take revenge by denying the Serbs a medal in the process.

After a hotly contested first half, and more specifically a 23-19 deficit in the first quarter, the French dominated the Serbs every quarter, in part thanks to a 51.9% shot out of three.

For France, Gabby Williams scored 17 points (including four to three), took 8 rebounds and delivered 4 assists. Seven French players scored in double digits. Yonne Anderson led Serbia with 24 points and Jelena Brooks added 14 more.
