The The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoiler recap for Tuesday, July 13 reveals that Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) spy will follow Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Meanwhile, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will receive a text message that is presumably from the thief of Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea will insist that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has already agreed to let her take Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to Minnesota.

Adam will be backing Chelsea and arguing that this is not Victor’s call, but Victor will continue to fumble and try to control the situation.

After getting his new assignment, Rey will introduce himself and reveal that he will be the Chelsea Police Escort.

Rey will emphasize that they are driving instead of flying, which reduces the risk. Adam will repeat that it is his call, but Victor will remain dismayed by Adam trusting Chelsea with his son.

At Society, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will decide to end their date with a special dessert ordered by Elena.

While Elena is in the back to get it, Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will arrive for a takeout order and approach Nate’s table.

Imani will compliment Nate on the color of her tie and perhaps suggest that she could have a drink or dessert with Nate while she waits for her order to be completed.

When Elena comes out with a plate of dessert, Imani will tell her that she hopes Elena has brought enough for three.

“No, just two,” Elena will insist. However, she will eventually give in and guess that it is lonely for Imani in town.

Imani will retort that she makes new friends every day and compliments Nate on her tie again before she takes her take out.

Once Nate receives a phone notification of good news, he’ll want to refrain from revealing it. Elena will complain playfully, but she will agree to wait until they are back home later.

In the lobby of the Greater Phoenix, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will examine the confession that Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) offered to authorities.

Devon will think that a work of fiction by Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) would be more believable – and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will agree that it is ridiculous that Naya hires someone to tamper with the brakes on Richard Nealon’s car.

Still, Amanda will find Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) ‘s idea to coerce her daughter into this confession almost too gruesome to even contemplate.

This will confuse Devon, who will wonder if Amanda remains hopeful that Sutton isn’t… “Completely evil?” Amanda will respond, finishing Devon’s thought.

Amanda won’t be sure of her answer as she is in such uncharted territory, but Devon will assure her that she is not alone. When Imani appears, she will be talking about meeting Nate earlier.

Imani will be wondering how long before Nate is at the top of a local magazine’s Most Eligible Singles list, but Devon will point out that Nate isn’t really eligible.

After Imani reluctantly acknowledges that Elena is in the picture, Devon will take off. This will give Sutton a chance to rush in and lobby for a private meeting with Amanda as well as Imani.

In Amanda’s sequel, she will end Sutton’s attempt to question them about Naya’s legal defense. Sutton will argue that this is a mistake because he is a powerful man with connections.

Once Sutton adds that Amanda doesn’t want to be the one to let him down, she’ll hold on and encourage him to leave.

Later, Amanda will tell Imani that it would be better to let Sutton guess as long as possible. She won’t want Sutton to know that they plan to prosecute him as part of Naya’s defense.

Imani will admit that betraying Sutton is difficult, but she will understand that it is the only way to save her mother. Amanda will smile as she suggests having their cars’ brakes checked daily.

Imani will know of Amanda’s joke, but she will argue that there are other ways Sutton can do damage. Amanda will argue that Sutton may be used to taking down other enemies, but he never opposed her.

At the ranch, Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will enter after having a blast on their horseback ride.

When Moses fishes to find out what they are for each other, Faith will horribly botch things. “We’re good friends, aren’t we? Best friends ? Faith will suggest.

Moses will not seem happy with this answer and will end up leaving rather abruptly. Once Faith informs Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that the wrong message was sent, Nikki will offer a pep talk.

Nikki will think it’s good to be afraid, but she won’t want Faith to let this fear prevent her from going after what she wants.

When Moses finds Nate and Elena in Society, he will offer updates on the awkward conversation he had with Faith. Nate will point out that Faith has had a difficult year and that she may not be ready to go for something.

Moses will wonder if he should give up, but Elena won’t. She will think that Moses should simply let Faith know that he is still interested and be ready to accept her if Faith does not feel the same way.

Having said that, Elena will not think that it is Faith’s problem that does not return Moses’ feelings. She’ll feel like Moses has to give things another chance or he’ll wonder what could have been.

Once they’re alone, Nate will ask if Elena was talking about Moses and Faith – or maybe Nate and Elena. Elena smirked, admitting it was both.

In the sequel to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), he will recap all the drama of the park to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Shortly after, Ashland learns that someone leaked a video that was shot there.

Victoria will note that whatever happens, Ashland won’t go through it alone.

Ashland will be happy to have someone he can let his guard down and wonder what his life would have been like if he had met Victoria sooner.

Victoria will call Ashland the most convincing man she has ever known and be grateful for the time they have. She will suggest that perhaps this video will provide a distraction as they finalize the deal for their merger.

After Ashland decides to go for a drink, Victoria will promise to follow up once she makes a call to check in with her nanny.

At ChancComm, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will discuss the video which was leaked anonymously to multiple media outlets.

Lily will comment on how Ashland makes it seem like he’s a jerk to his ex-wife – and no less in front of her child.

Billy will be eager to post a story about it before they are picked up, but Lily will protest that they need more information first.

However, Billy will eventually realize that Lily’s own cancer experience affects his judgment about it.

Bill will determine that Lily may be right in needing more information – and moments later, another outlet will post the video.

Billy will decide that the best story to follow is the background and agenda of the person who uploaded the video. He will want to find out who wanted to hurt Ashland and why.

Then Billy will meet Ashland at the Grand Phoenix bar. He will mention that ChancComm decided not to post a story on this leaked video, but Ashland won’t seem impressed.

Billy will also present his offer for Locke Communications Group, but Ashland will note that he did not respond to him. He’ll think Billy should have understood that he wasn’t interested.

Once Victoria gets off, Ashland will hint at an announcement in the morning of a personal and professional nature.

Billy will return to ChancComm, where he will inform Lily of the announcement. He will point out that Victoria was surprised by Ashland’s teaser and will remain concerned that her ex is sinking too deep.

Back with Ashland, he will let Victoria know that the right people have signed all aspects of the deal.

All that’s left to do is share it with the rest of the world, so Victoria will declare ‘let’s do it’ and toast with Ashland.

Back in the cafe, Sharon won’t seem thrilled with Rey’s latest mission. “Wasn’t there someone else available?” Sharon will ask.

Rey will assure Sharon that he prefers not to go, but he will feel obligated to accept the mission given to him and complete it.

As for the subject of Mariah’s disappearance, Sharon will mention having received an SMS from her daughter.

Sharon will note that Mariah said she forgot her phone charger and that she was sorry to have worried everyone.

Sharon will think Mariah is enjoying a little time without everyone stopping, but Y&R spoilers indicate that something much more sinister is happening here!

This text seems to come from Mariah’s kidnapper instead, so stay tuned for more bombs.

At the ranch in Tuesday’s episode, Victor will suggest to Nikki that this might be the last time they see Connor. Nikki will doubt it, so Adam will be surprised that Nikki takes his side when he arrives.

Victor will reluctantly accept that this is Adam’s decision. He just hopes Adam doesn’t regret it – and Adam will admit he’s here with Victor on it.

Once Chelsea arrives to pick up Connor with Rey, she will promise Victor that she is not about to compromise her chance for rightful freedom. Chelsea will thank Adam again before everyone leaves.

After Victor is alone, he will call a servant he hired to follow Chelsea and Rey. Victor will order his spy not to lose sight of Rey and Chelsea – not even a minute.
