Celtic deal is done but transfer will take some time
After a few wins in their first two preseason games under Ange Postecoglou, Celtic have struggled in the last two. They played a goalless draw against Bristol City and lost 1-0 to Preston North End.
As a result, it is clear that there is still a lot of work to be done at Parkhead and a number of positions that need to be reinforced at both ends of the pitch. The club have made quite a few signings lately and it will be interesting to see how they fare for the Hoops, but they can’t stop there.
Kristijan Lovric is someone who has been linked with a move to Parkhead lately. And he might have dropped a social media transfer hint regarding the possibility of a move.
As reported by Glasgow Live, Lovric followed Celtic as well as a fan page for the club on Instagram.
Could Lovric be ready to join Celtic?
Player activity on social media has certainly become something to watch in modern times when it comes to transfers. Now it remains to be seen if there is something more to Lovric after the club.
He could definitely be a good signing. According to Transfermarkt statistics, he scored 18 goals and provided 7 assists in 32 appearances for HNK Gorica last season. He has also scored 10 or more goals and provided 7 or more assists in each of his three seasons at the club. So the 25-year-old is certainly a constant performer.
The Hoops recently signed Liel Abada, who mostly plays on the right wing while Lovric usually plays on the left wing. And the two are very similar types of players in that they shoot a lot on goal, which is a big reason why they score a lot of goals. And would Postecoglou be looking for such a duo on the wings at Parkhead?
