Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer has partnered with a “long-term” collaboration with Nintendo and the two are today launching the TAG Heuer x Super Mario Limited Edition watch. For TAG Heuer, the goal is to advance the brand’s already strong Connected Technology. Just five years ago, TAG Heuer was really moving forward with its smartwatches, and just before the pandemic hit, in March 2020, the brand released its next-generation smartwatch with a special focus. on the golf course.

Now Nintendo’s digital superstar Mario comes to life on the wrist of the new TAG Heuer Connected watch to mix traditional watchmaking with smart functions and a guru known to climb walls and outdo rivals.

The watch is designed to encourage the wearer to increase their physical activity with the super-duper Mario. With this concept at the forefront, the watch is designed as a tool to stimulate activity and thus encourage heart health and physical improvement. While other watches may do so in the form of a ‘get active’ alert, this watch achieves the goal with the beloved Mario in a special game that lasts all day.

The TAG Heuer x Super Mario Limited Edition watch features Super Mario Bros. design elements. both physically and digitally. The watch faces feature digital elements from the 1985 version of the game, and the red accents echo Super Mario’s iconic red hat. Physical attributes come into play in the form of a bezel with booster symbols at 3:00 am, 6:00 am, and 9:00 am. The color of the watch? Black and red naturally.

The 45mm watch is made of stainless steel and comes with two interchangeable straps in Super Mario Red: one in leather, the other in rubber. It is sold in exclusively designed packaging.
